I work with health AI entrepreneurs on product strategy, go-to-market, sales, and regulatory pathways—drawing on experience as a physician, founder, and CEO in digital health.

Background

I'm Josh Oppenheimer—a physician, entrepreneur, and advisor who has spent nearly a decade building at the intersection of healthcare and technology.

I co-founded Transformative AI during my residency and served as Chief Medical Officer and ultimately CEO through 2023. We developed AI technology to predict and prevent Sudden Cardiac Arrest, raised over $4M from investors including Wellcome Trust and Innovate UK, led a team of 8, partnered with leading hospitals in the US, UK, and Estonia for clinical research, and engaged with the FDA on our regulatory pathway. I experienced the full founder journey—fundraising wins, team-building, a co-founder departure, and ultimately winding down the company.

I'm board-certified in emergency medicine and currently practice at hospitals in the DC/Maryland area. I trained at George Washington University, where I also served as Chief Resident. I earned my MD from Mount Sinai, an MBA from Cambridge Judge Business School, and studied public policy and global health at Princeton.

Now I advise early-stage health AI founders who are navigating the complex path from idea to scale—bringing hard-won lessons from my own entrepreneurial journey.
